Odds are better elsewhere but, if you just go to play a little, win a little but, get excellent service and quality rooms than this is the place. Many steak houses and restaurants to choose from. The greatest host, Shane, you will ever find around. He takes care of you while you play | 9 | | This newly opened poker room is, in my opinion, struggling. It opened a few weeks ago in competition with Hollywood, and, had Hollywood stayed the same, would have been very competitive, if not substantially better. That, however, was the old Hollywood. In comparison to the new Hollywood, the Horseshoe suffers. The room and tables are cramped and crowded. Several of the better dealers from Hollywood came here, and many have stayed, but the gap between good and bad dealers is vast. Dealers with 2 months experience (all in this room) are, flatly, incompetent. I played in a tournament there on a Monday night ($75 buyin, $40 unlimited rebuys before the break, $75 addon at the break) and was victimized by a dealer who managed to get off 10 hads in 30 minutes. She did not know how to divide the pot, she did not know how to call a hand, she exposed a card on the last three hands she dealt, as the pressure on her became worse and worse. | 7 |
